Dubai Creative Clusters Authority

The Dubai Creative Clusters Authority (now known as Dubai Development Authority) leads the development of Dubai’s creative industries, to support the Dubai Strategy for Innovation. The Authority plays a vital role in promoting Dubai as a globally competitive hub for knowledge-based industries. It does this by regulating and supporting free zone clusters dedicated to these industries.

Our brief

To mark 15 years since its inception and to launch its new name, identity and mandate, the Dubai Creative Clusters Authority (DCCA) decided to launch its first Baseline Report. The report would set out DCCA’s vision and strategy, with the aim of exciting interest in its future plans and the potential for growth.

 

Our brief was to reinforce the creativity of the ‘Creative Cluster’. We were tasked with designing an 88-page report, working on concepts using DCCA’s new identity, which, at the time, was in the early stages of development by a different agency. The final design actually helped to shape DCCA’s new identity, with major graphic elements being incorporated into the new look and feel.

 

We were also tasked with designing an animated Ebook of the report and all the materials for a press launch, including a short animation. Everything was dual language — in English and Arabic.
